We gather in Ireland at the darkest turning of the year: entering chamber, hill and valley; standing outside Newgrange on the solstice morning; practising perception, stillness and shared attention as the light begins to return. Guided day trips, observation exercises, evening reflections.

About the event

Birth of the Light

A Midwinter Journey to Newgrange, Tara and the Boyne Valley

17–22 December 2026

At the darkest turning of the year, we gather in Ireland for a journey through chamber, hill, river landscape and returning light.

We stay together at Ashbourne House Hotel and travel out daily to Newgrange / Brú na Bóinne, Tara, Monasterboice and selected Boyne Valley or Dublin-area sites. On the morning of 21 December we join the public solstice atmosphere outside Newgrange.

This is a guided Sacred Isles journey with site visits, observation exercises, seminar-like elements, shared reflection and evening sessions in the hotel function room.
